Cannot establish connection to SAP Host agent webservice

Hi,

We are getting below error during managed system configuration:

The definition of Technical System '<SID>~ABAP' is not correct: '<SID>~ABAP': Operating System 'Linux~2.6.32-220.el6.x' of Host '<instance name>' must have at least oneSoftware Component Version

Outside Discovery issue: refer to SAP Note 1611483

Managed systems setup | Managed System Definition Status (post setup) | SYSTEM =<SID>~ABAP

In the landscape browser the SAP host agent status is "Error":

PhysicalHostPushJob:Cannot establish connection to SAP Host agent webservice. The diagnostics agent os user daaadm is not authorized to establish a trusted connection to SAP Host agent, check the service/admin_users property of associated profile.) (SAPHostAgent version - N.B. This check does not validate all functionalities. See SAP Note 1365123 for latest required version)

Failed to persist host <instance name>. Check host status for details.

Cannot create host '<instance name>'

The SAP Host agent version is 720 patch 146. Also, the service/admin_users is maintained in host_profile. SAP Host agent and DAA is running fine.

Regards,

Neha

It sounds like you don't have a service up and running, can you verify the following services (mileage may vary as these are from a Windows server):

SAPDAA_97 (DAA is the SID, 97 is the instance; you may have chosen different options)

SAPHostControl

SAPHostExec

The DAA, saphostctrl and saphostexec are running fine. I have checked the services.

sapstartsrv running (pid = 8415)

Does your daaadm user have access to all of those folders & files listed?

After you added the entry for daaadm to the host entry did you also restart hostctl?

Do you see the SMD agent displaying in the SMD Admin UI?

daaadm is owner for the directory /usr/sap/DAA

root is owner for the directory /usr/sap/hostctrl

Also we the DAA is connected to the solution manager SLD (we can see the status connected in the agent admin).

service/admin_users = daaadm is maintained in host_profile.

I have already checked the scn thread; it didnt solved my issue.

Also, I have upgraded the sap host agent to patch 167... but no success.

You wrote.

daaadm is owner for the directory /usr/sap/DAA

root is owner for the directory /usr/sap/hostctrl

What is group of folder /usr/sap/hostctrl? Should be sapsys or group of daaadm.

Julia

According to the notes

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1771916 and

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1439348

it is necessary to add in the default profile(host_profile) the following parameter

service/protectedwebmethods = DEFAULT/SDEFAULT <additional options>

What information about that is it in Agent Error Monitoring or Agents->Connections Logs of SMD Agent Administration?

And what version of SAPJAM is it used for Diagnostic Agent?

Hello Evgeniy,

PFA

The error log saying: " file access permission do not allow the specified action.

I have given full permission to the folder. User entry has been made in host_profile also but no luck.
