VAR: restriction of IBase systems within CRM Web UI

Hello!

We are using VAR scenarion on Solution Manager 7.1 SP5.

For the message creation we use CRM Web UI and copy of the role SOLMANREQU.

Is there a simple way to restrict some IBases (e.g. client 066)?

Hello Alex, we don't do that because it required to much effort for a huge number of system, and for us we don't found any problem if a user select a wring client on message creation, if the message had been created using a wrong client it can be clarify inside the long text.

i know some authority object that can help you to do that:

  • AI_LMDB_AD, Authorization Object for Administration Tasks in LMDB       
  • AI_LMDB_OB,  Authorization Object for LMDB Objects
  • AI_LMDB_PS, Authorization Object for Product Systems in LMDB

Hope that this can help you, i never try to block a single client but if it has a different LMDB object ID it can be disable trough auth.

There is no general report to exclude e.g. the client "066" for all the systems or installations?

I don't know any report for do that Alex, but think about the effort to develop it and the problems that you will have when users can select client "066".

It's that a real problems ? maybe you can use a BADI (ORDER_SAVE) on message creation for block the creation of message with that client.
