Hi Experts,
Hi,
>>>>>>>When a communication channel is inactive, then all messages sent to PI during this time will be in SCHEDULED status ?
Yes....
>>>>Once the communication channel is activated, will the channel process the SCHEDULED messages once again? or process only those that have come in after activation?
Yes. It will process the messages in scheduled status as well as the ones that have come in after activation.

Receiver : When you inactivated/stopped the channels, i dont think the messages will be tried to process 3 times..
Instead in the very first attempt they will be in error state and they will be processed automatically as soon as you start the channel. There is no need to resend manually incase the channel is stopped.

Hi Gopal
When the sender channel is inactive,
The adapter will not pick up any files. So files will be lying the source directory. Once the channel is activated , all files will be picked by adapter and will be sent to PI.
In PI you will not have any scheduled messages.
When the receiver channel is inactive,
The messages will be processed from MONI and will be lying in adapter engine with 'system error" status. The messages tries 3 times to automatic restart and after that in went to "System Error " status.
when you activate the channel, you need to select all the system error messages and resend them manually with the 'resend' option in RWB.
Hope it will give u some idea.

Hi Baliga,
Are you talking about the channels that they do a poll?
When a communication channel is inactive, then all messages sent to PI during this time will be in SCHEDULED status ?
Sender channels: No, the message will be lost. If the sender has te property to resend itself, no problem , but PI doesnt know anything then because the messages doesnt come to PI initially.
Receiver channels: Yes in the case of asynchronous messages if the retention period has not expired..
Once the communication channel is activated, will the channel process the SCHEDULED messages once again? or process only those that have come in after activation?
You can resend them manually, i think that it could be an automatic resending but im not sure how to do it right now.
Regards.
