Hi Nayeem,

Thank you for reply .

I checked the above link . Thank you very much !

I should use CG3Y (Download ApplServer -> PC) and CG3Z (Upload PC -> ApplServer) . After that , I can use STMS to add this request to the import buffer queue.

Thanks in advance .

Hi,

If you wnat to Transport the the TR of one R/3 to other system:

1. take a copy of the Data file and cofile of the perticular TR from /usr/sap/trans/data & /usr/sap/trans/cofile

2. paste it in the target system /usr/sap/trans/data & /usr/sap/trans/cofile

3. add the TR from STMS into queue
4. import it.

For only objects from the perticular TR...take a copy of the existing TR and modify it and release it and follow the same steps.

Hi Prabhakar,

Thank you for reply .

Now I took a copy of Data file and cofile , and paste it .

I added the TR from STMS into queue .

So please tell me when I want to import Workbench requests , should I import  workbench requests

to target client ?

Or do I have to only add the workbench requests from STMS into queue ?

Thanks in advance .

This can be done with help of Basis team. Give the data file anbd co-files of the transports to the basis team. They will move them into os level and change the permissions of data and co-files. Once done with this, at SAP level they can add it to buffer and import in the system.

Do I have to delete the desired object from the original TR and assign it to a new TR ?

Can I transport original TR to the new system ?

If the object that you want to transport is present in a transport request and if the transport is released you can transport it.

If the transport request contains other objects which you don't want to transport then you can create a new transport using the transport of copies and include the objects you wish to transport.

Hi Kazuki,

If you are in need to transport request to another system, which is part of your landscape(QAS or PRD), configure the Transport management system. Release TR in DEV and import in QAS and PRD. Please let us know if you are looking to transport to different domain.

Hi Sriram,

Thank you for reply .

In the thread , It is written as follows:

1. There is no such direct facility for doing this, using the front-end directly.

2. One has to then do it using help of basis team.

3.

a) Create a request which contains the program/package/objects.

b) release the request

c) on the server, some files will be created for this request.

(This file will contain data of the programs/objects)

d) copy this files to another server

e) basis team will import this file and the programs/objects will get created.

If you know , please tell me .

When I release the request ,  will some files be created automatic ?

And where is the place that created some files ?

Does SAP decided the pass that created some files ?

Thanks in advance .

Hi Kazuki,

When I release the request ,  will some files be created automatic ?

No, whenever you make changes in development system, it will prompt for transport request, create the transport request which will be stored at the OS level in cofile and datafile.

datafile -- data

cofile--    attributes of data file.

And where is the place that created some files ?

OS level /usr/sap/trans

Does SAP decided the pass that created some files ?

Can you explain your question

Hi Kazuki,

Please go through the below url, which explains about Transport in SAP Landscape.

Hi Kazuki,

You can transport the original TR itself.

Delete the desired object from the original TR.

When next time u try to activate the object it will ask u for a new TR..so assign it to a new TR and transport to the new system.

It seems they need to import the changes with new transport, but your case, you don't want to create new TR right? Just transport the changes to another system, you can use the same TR.
