Importing EPM Demo Model with Data Issue

I am learner.

I want to do practice on HANA, for that i want to import EPM model related demo tables which will contains data. For that i had gone through the below link

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3402209   and followed Vivek Singh Bhoj   given steps

and followed the steps as below

1. i have downloaded the delivery units and imported them.

2. After that i got the SCHEMA SAP_HANA_EPM_DEMO as shown below

3. And parallely i got 2 packages under content folder as 1)workshop 2)workshop-uis

till this i am success and after that i need to go to repository tab, i went and i didn't find anything there.

Parallely when i checked the tables in SAP_HANA_EPM_DEMO schema i didn't find any data. so i request you to please check and suggest me how to proceed to get data into those tables and i want to use those tables for creating analytic, attribute and calculation views.

My user name is HANAUSER and it is a training system, so please let me know what authorizations i need to have to access the same tables.

Please check and suggest me accordingly.

Hello,

Go to your EC2 dashboard > Network and Security > Security Groups. Then manage  your SAP HANA instance security group inbound connection. Lets say you are using instance 00, then create a "custom TCP rule" for port range 8000. You can choose to specify source (better security) or leave it default.

Last apply rule. Hope it works!

ps: for instance 01, then port is 8001

You probably just need to reload master and transaction data.

i followed the steps involved in the link and i am success till importing after that only i am having issues.

the SHINE document talks on server side and the link above is on client side.

i am confused. needs more inputs on this please...

What HANA Rev are you on?

Please go to :

http://<myServer>:<XS Port>/sap/hana/democontent/epm/admin/ui/WebContent/

admin.html

Check reload master data and reload transaction data. Click Execute.

See if your tables are populated.

thanks for your reply. i access hana system through remote desktop. i went into remote desktop and in IE i typed the below url and it says cannot display the page.

given:

http://<myServer>:<XS Port>/sap/hana/democontent/epm/admin/ui/WebContent/

admin.html

i typed this because my server is hanasp5 and port is 30515.

http://hanasp5:30515/sap/hana/democontent/epm/admin/ui/WebContent/admin.html

please let me know whether i am doing wrong or is there anything else i need to do.

As mentioned on page 7, the XS Port is 80 + your instance number.

See if this works (Assumption - Instance # = 00) : http://hanasp5:8000/sap/hana/democontent/epm/admin/ui/WebContent/admin.html

my instance number is 05, so i tried with this but it doesnt worked out. may be i need to contact to admin ?

I'm not sure about what is going on. Can you just do a quick check to see if the XS Engine is up and running from the System Monitor?

would be the best person to ask.

Hi Jen,

Try importing workshop packages, in one of them there is data gen file

You can then access the file through that

I can't tell the exact path as i am on vacation at present

But you can try it
