Client Copy by OS Level

Hi All,

We have ECC6.0 EHP6 System with HP-UNIX as OS and Oracle 11g as database.

We are planning to perform a local client copy in our system, We have 2 TB of database so it always takes almost 3-4 days for a client copy after selecting Parallel Processing and setting all required configuration to make client Copy Fast.

We have been suggested by several people to perform Client Copy by OS Level which is fastest way of performing it but I still do not find any suitable document which can help me in understanding of how client copy can be done by OS Level.

Can you please share your experience and any doc which can help me in performing Client Copy at OS level.

Regards,

Shivam Mittal

Hi,

That is what is done in client export and import.

It used TP and R3trans to do that.

67205  - CC-INFO: Copying large and productive clients

You can use the report RSCCEXPT for putting the tables in exception
list. You can find out these from your dba, then you can transporting
them separately, ie, you can transport the entries manually by calling
transaction SE09 and including the transport object R3TR TABU <table
name> with the corresponding table keys in your transport request. And
then import the request in the target system using STMS.

Note #70290 CC-INFO: Excluding tables with 'RSCCEXPT'

Thanks
