Hi there,
I am really struggling in one of the phases using SUM. It keeps falling over
in 5.5 Pre-processing in the DBCLONE stage.
In the ORATBSXT.SAV file there is a new table space PSAPSR3731 with a few
lines indicating that this needs increasing to 245G.
I have just added 100g to this table space so now it has just over 290G.
But it is still falling over :
1EETGCLN ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace PSAPSR3731
1EETGCLN WDY_WINDOW
1EETGCLN Error copying table data
Which I presume is out of space !!
How I can get an uptodate total of just how much table space is required in terms
of number of Gigabytes.
Are there any more log files anywhere which would tell mw how much the tablespace
needs to be extended by???
Many thanks
Andy
There is a phase in the SUM before the shadow system creation asking you to create the PSAPSR3731 tablespace with a specific size.
What was the suggestion in the ORATBSXT.LST?

Thanks RB,
This is what is confusing me. When I add up the entries in the ORATBSXT file
for PSAPSR3731 it comes to just short of 245G.
The PSAPSR3731 has a total space set to 290G.
I must have a wonky calculator!!!!
Are there any more log files I can check or any other method you can
suggest to determine the actual size needed??
Thanks again
Andy
After creating the tablespace PSAPSR3731 and extending it with the suggested space the SUM tool does a check on the space allocated for the tablespace PSAPSR3731.
If there is no sufficient space then SUM will prompt that again to provide more space. If there is sufficient space then it will complete the remaining tasks and head into the lock development phase.
You are are already in the shadow system creation phase and the DBCLONE jobs are under execution.
Check the status of the DBCLONE jobs in the main system.
Check how many of them have failed and how mary have been completed and also check for the active ones. If there are failed jobs check the job log.
If they are still running wait for them to finish. Also consider doing a check status.
Check the free space on the tablespace PSAPSR3731
Check for the error in the Oracle alert log.
Also check for the DBCLONE log in the /upgrade_directory/abap/log
3155 - Termination due to tablespace overflow

Hi,
Please follow the Doc,
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-47863
The common error in Sum tool ,
We are doing upgrade using SUM 1.0 SP06 patch 5, we have faced couple of major problems during this upgrade.
There is major bug in the tool hence please don’t use SUM 1.0 SP06.
If you want to do any upgrades please wait for the next higher patch level is available on SMP or use SUM 1.0 SP5
Today only SAP has released note 1831282 on SUM 1.0 SP06.
