Differences between India and US implementations

Hello Experts,

I am about to begin localized requirements gathering workshops for an SRM rollout for APAC region. This also includes India.

I understand that pertaining to procure to pay, there will be tax implications (CENVAT, Witholding tax etc.) that come into picture because of CIN (Country India version for tax).

Prior to this, I have worked chiefly on US implementations and would like to have a background of India implementations.

Can the forum give me a set of differences between US implementations & India implementations (pertaining to Vendor Master, SRM, PTP invoice processing & accounts payable) ? What are the questions that should be asked to Business in the India context ?

Sorry if this seems too vague a question, & although I am doing some reading at my end, but a set of experienced minds' inputs could greatly help me in gaining confidence during our workshop discussions.

Your inputs shall be greatly appreciated & awarded points (I shouldn't say that too explicitly, but I am a little desperate here)

🙂

Regards,

PD.

Yes Vinita, so basically what you mean is that the differences will arise majorly in the Tax calculation settings with various kind of taxes to be accounted for.
I don't really have a set question right now, but just wanted to know if there could be any homework that I could do before starting client discussions.
I am already reading about CIN. Wanted to know if anything else is needed.

Thanks for replying.

PD.
