Hi Ram,

Just follow the system copy for the Hardware migration.

Export and then import, not much required for 32 to 64 bit or Hardware and RAM increase.

Incase of 32 to 64, just have 64 bit Kernel and other DVD ready with you... and follow 64 bit copy...

As this is a Solution Manager system you will need to do an export an import as there is Java.

Hi Ramanujam,

Please check note 1431633, you can use SWPM to export from the source system by choosing database specific method, use the swpm db specific method to import to new hardware.

I have checked this  notes 1431633 and notes mentioned inside its Database specific 1387374

and  Platform specfic note 1387319 are not opening its showing the message document not released?

Since SM Db size is generally low .Don't u think EXP/IMP can also be a viable option.

Hi Rananujam,

You can use system copy export and import method using installation master or Software Provisioning manager, before that can you tell us your SAP product release and version.

What is ur existing platform and to where u want to move.

I think hetrogenous  system copy is same.
