Account 6100099018 requires an assignment to a CO object

Hi Folks,

In a lease out contract i have 2 condiitons (P001 & P002) and for both conditions valid from date is 01.10.2013.

While doing RERAPP i am getting below error

Account 6100099018 requires an assignment to a CO object

Message no. KI235

Diagnosis

You have not defined a CO account assignment for an account that is relevant
to cost accounting.

System Response

Account 6100099018 is defined as a cost element.
This means that you must
always specify a CO account assignment.

Procedure

Enter one of the following CO account assignments

Order

Cost center / cost center/ activity type

Sales order item (for a project or cost relevant)

Project / WBS element

Cost object  (Process manufacturing)

Network/ Network activities

Business process

Profitability segment

Real estate object

The posting row affected is 0000000008, account 6100099018.

But surprisingly if i select only P001 or P002 in REARAPP we are able to do postings.

I have a doubt that since we are posting to Revenue G/L account why it's triggering for CO account assignment?

Please give me ideas how to resolve this issue.

Hi Arjun,

Please check in GL master for this particular GL and check whether cost element is created for this GL master if its P&L account statement. Also check whether a Default account assignment exists in Cost element of that GL.

Also let me know that which type of posting(periodic/Integrated etc.) you are using?
