Text Determination

Hi All,

Can some one please guide me as to how we do the text determination ,i have tried to define the text ,access sequence and also assign the text procedure but i when go to the sales order ->gto->text the fields are empty .

Can some one guide on this .

Hi Sneha,

Pl follow the below procedure:

This is how the Text Determination works , see if you have missed any of the steps.

1. Text Objects: these are like Customer master Info record, Billing doc text etc,

2. Text Types: For every object create text types like Header Note 1, 2... etc

3. Create access seq

4: Assign this to Languages+ Text types + Partner Functions + Sales Org + Requirements for Data transfer for every access

5. Create Procedures and assign the Text Types.

6. Assign procedure with Document Type and make a tick mark if it is needed to write the text while processing the sales Order Document

7. Assign Text types in a sequence for a Procedure.

There are some SAP defined Text ID like 0001, 0002 ... etc ..

SPRO>Sales& Distbn>Basic Fns>Text control>Define And Assign Text Determination Procedures

Pls review the procedure assigned to the account group for enabling sales text in Sales order review the proc assigned to Sales doc type .

Once everything is assigned properly - Procedure, text types, access sequence and assignment to text objects - your text will flow to sales order apart from appearing in the customer master.
