Dell Boomi Vs SAP PI

Hi All,

Im hearing the name Dell Boomi [ an cloud integration platform] since last few days.

so can anyone compare the features of PI and Boomi?

how it is more effective than PI?

I have seen in few blogs, that SAP takeover the Boomi.. is that true..

Learning Dell Boomi is good for PI consultants to stabilize in the job?

few things I know about Dell Boomi is , its cloud based Integration solution.

It integrates every technology like google sap etc, it has got 100+ adapters and customer can easily develop their own adapter very easily. One thing Boomi knows how to integration SAP also even though its propritary.

Its far better than HCI.

Dell Boomi Vs SAP PI.

SAP PI is still far better tool then Boomi.

Boomi is integration based tool which has a connector for Successfactors. and SFSF is promoting this tool as free integration tool with SF EC licence.

So this is the mean reason why Boomi became famous.

Now in current scenario , PI has also connector for SFSF / ODATA/ ADHOC quaries. So i dont see point to use Boomi.

Massimo Pezzini from Gartner recently published a research report titled: IT Leaders Should Use a Mix of Approaches in Their SAP Cloud Services Integration Strategies, which talks about different approaches for SAP CSI.  It is worth a read.

He provides great background on why and when different tools should be considered--including Dell Boomi.
