RFC connection test error

Hi,

We are trying to connect our Netweaver and ECC systems together using RFCs. We can created a RFC from NW to ECC, but we can't create one from ECC to NW, when we try to connection test the RFC we get the error I've attached.

The ECC host file has the following contents,

127.0.0.1               localhost

'ip of ecc'               hostname

sapgw00               3300/tcp

I've added and assigned port 3300 to the ECC in our firewall, but it still does not work.

If anyone can offer any help or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jing

1.Kindly check the SAP KBA 1891781 - error occurs when you execute an external command

2. Since you already said that ECC in your firewall, for testing case you can disable/turn off the Firewall settings and then check the RFC.

Hi,

First thing Please check that if there is any network firewall between the two system. I am talking about network filewall as you have already disabled the windows firewall.

Please also check the firewall on the NW as you generating the traffic from ECC to NW.

What is the version of the NW kernel .If 720 you need to check the security setting of the gateway parameters.
