SAP Solution manager 7.1 Service desk

Hi Experts

We are planning to migrate Solution manager 7.0 Service desk to SolMan 7.1, to a new system.

Could anyone pl suggest me, which documents has to be followed..

Hi Naveen,

In addtion, to above let me share some info

  • This is more like a functional upgrade for service desk in addtion to technical upgrade as 7.1 brings entire IT Service Management so bundle of new features
  • transaction type is changed from SLFN to SMIN so there are hardly any things you can migrate if you are looking from migration perspective and has done lot of coding etc with new fields
  • Additional authorization roles like Business Roles are required and needs to be configured
