Customer Return inspection configuration

Hi All,

We are running ECC6. We want to enable customer return inspection. Our main problem is while activating 06 inspection type, it is applied for all the materials. We are running three different company. We would like to activate on only one company.

Please let me know how to enable for a single company code or a single plant.

Inspection type 06 should be activated in QM view (It is plant specific).

You can activate the 06 inspection type, for  a particular plant so that lot will get generated only for the specific plant not for all plant.

There is no configuration involved in that. This is just assignment of Inspection type 06 to required Plant & Material master combination.

Hi Rajesh,

In your original query, you said about activating the inspection type in the material. So you must had entered the plant initially during creating/ extending the QM view of the material.

Maintain the required plant there only.

Material Master QM view is plant specific. Plants are assigned to company code.

Assign 06 Inspection type only to the required Plant in Material master, so that only for that plant / company code, Customer return inspection will be activated.

I'm little confused about your query.

"I want to exclude one company or one plant for returns inspection"

From above statement and your original post, which one is the scenario?

1. You receive material from three customers and need inspection lots only when material is returned from one of them?

2. Or, You receive the same material in three different plants and need inspection lots only when the material is received by one of those??

Dear Mr. Pitroda,

                    Please follow the below steps it will work surely,

1. Assign the Inspection type 05 to the inspection lot origin

2. QCC0 - Quality inspection - Inspection lot creation - Inspection at shipping - assign the inspection lot origin to delivery type

3. In T-Code - VOV6- assign the movement type as 655

4.Create Inspection plan /  Material specification

5. Create Customer Info record (If required)

6. Create Return sale order and create return delivery -> Post Goods Receipt

Assign the inspection type 05 in QM view

Inspection lot will be created

Assign Delivery Type to Inspection lot Origin 06 in tcode QCC3

Inspection Lot Creation->Inspection at Shipping->Assign Inspection Lot Origin to Delivery Type

Activate Inspection type 06 in Single Plant.

When you do PGR, Inspection lot will be created.

Check this scenario..

Currently as per my configuration the inspection lot is created. But my actual query is doing that all the materials in my material master are activated for returns inspection lot. I want to exclude one company or one plant for returns inspection.

Hi,

Deactivate Inspection type from those plant that you dont want to create Inspection Lot.

You can deactivate in Mass by using Tcode QA08.

Enter Plant & Select Deactivate Insp. Type tab & enter Inspe. type 06

Execute

You can see the Material In that plant, Select All & Save.
