SE80 bug regression in Java GUI 7.30r4, OSX 10.9, Java 7u45

Hi,

It looks like a recently fixed bug in SE80 has re-emerged - I can no longer use the "F4" help "button" to the right of the Program/Class/etc entry field in SE80. 

This was previously fixed in 7.30rev4 however it has been broken again, either as a result of upgrading to Java 7 update 45, or as a result of installing OSX 10.9 (which forced me to install Java 6 to run, although it appears on installation that Java 6 was immediately deactivated in favour of 7u45).

Any help would be appreciated.

Please check in SAPGUI About dialog.

Could you please enter a trace file name in trace dialog before trying to use F4 in se80?

Is there any error output after having pressed the F4 button?

The original issue came with an incompatible change in JDK 7u25 and we only could make it work again making significant changes.

We have tried to reproduce your issue with 7.30 rev 4 on JDK 7u25 both on Mountain Lion and Mavericks, but the Help Button worked.

I don't see an error message; though when I try to click the help button, a dotted line appears around the section of the screen.  I get the same dotted line if I just click anywhere else within that square:

according to the trace, SAP GUI for Java 7.30 is running, not SAP GUI for Java 7.30 rev 4.

Of course the original SAP GUI for Java 7.30 version is affected by the incompatible change in JDK 7u25. Please make sure to launch SAP GUI for Java 7.30 rev 4 and try again.

Ah - then I think I've found the problem.  There are two links in my Applications menu for SAP GUI for Java, 7.30 and 7.30rev4.  I had assumed that 7.30 was a link to the latest version on my system, so I've had a shortcut to that in my dock the whole time.

What you're saying is that this is the original version of 7.30 (and hence can be deleted), and the link to 7.30rev4 used instead.  Well that certainly clears things up, thanks!
