Service Desk in Solman 7.1

Hi,

I have configured service Desk in Solman 7.0.

I want to know

- Is Servive Desk same in Solman 7.1 SP6

- Lot terms I am finidng Incident Management, Problem management, Service Request management etc

If I know Solman 7.0 service desk will it cover all above topics.

Hi P Kumar,

There is a big change comparing this area

In 7.0 you only have service desk transaction type SLFN

in 7.1 you have now web based service desk/incident management transaction type SMIN

as now IT Service Management is introduced in 7.1 so now you can also configure Problem Management(SMPR)

Hi Kumar,

In Solution manager 7.1 the ITSM transcation type has been changed due to access in CRM UI .

Please check the below guide for 7.1 version

In 7.1 transaction changed to SMIN - incident, SMPR- problem ...

Support team determination using BRF+, also use old method also
