Hi,
We have a set of of oDATA Projects which have been created by a SAP User, say USERA. Now a new User, say USERB has been bought in to take over the work done by USERA. USERA has moved on. These have been created in Gateway 2.0 SP06.
When we try to change the person responsible for a particular oDATA Project in Gateway Service Builder (TCode => SEGW) we get the message "Action not possible". Please refer to the screen shot given below for reference
We are trying to change the Person responsible by right-clicking on the oDATA project in Gateway Service Builder and selecting the option "Object Directory Entry" in Change mode.
These oDATA projects have already been transported from Development to QA.
How do we resolve this issue? And how do we change the Person responsible for a particular oDATA project and then transport this to QA and beyond? Any help in this regard would be appreciated.

Hi Amardeep,
I would not worry about it. I think where a 'person responsible' is assigned it is more relevant to SAP internal work.
Change management is done by transport control, that's what really tells you who is "resonsible".

Hi Ron,
The problem is that USERB cannot view the oDATA projects created by USERA. Even if USERB clicks on "Open Project" That is why we want to change the person responsible. That is why we are going about changing the "Person Responsible" for all of our oDATA projects.
If person responsible does not impact the visibility of projects to different SAP Users, then what does?

Hi Amardeep,
Please check if the correct roles are assigned.
Please have a look at the below link

Amardeep,
I'm not sure where you got this notion from but it's definitely not the case that only the 'person responsible' can view a project. Making that a rule would be immensely problematic for support and shared development.
As long as you know the name you can open any project, but this may be affected by the role of persons X/Y/Z as Atanu has queried.
Regards
Ron.
