Is persistance layer in HANA is like buffers in oracel DB? Can some body explain me please.
Hi Harish,
In SAP HANA all the data is stored in RAM, it is volatile so we can lose data if there is outage.
So to avoid this, SAP provides Persistence Layer. In this layer data is saved in Hard Disks like Log Volumes and Data Volumes.
It provides Back up and restore functionality to SAP HANA.
