Hi,
==>> Logon with user sap* in client 000
==>> Then reinstall sap license received through smp. If problem persists then requested new license from SAP.

Dear Gurus.
I have added the parameter in the default profile and tried logging with sap* and pass in 000 client but unable to log in.
I also tried deleteing sap* at o.s level by using the below script in sql prompt but O/P : no rows deleted.
delete from SAPP01.usr02 where bname='SAP*' and mandt='000';
Please Help me resolve this issue.

Hello Mohd
You need to make sure that the paramater login/no_automatic_user_sapstar is mentioned only once in the profiles.
The parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar should be with value 0
If the parameter is set to 1 then you will not be able to login with SAP* and password PASS
Go to the profile directory /sapmnt/SID/profile and check the parameter in the profiles there.
Check my reply.

Dear RB.
I have checked all profile the parameter is only once in default profile with value 0, and is the password pass or PASS.
Gurus Please Help me come out of this Issue.
Thanks
Mohd
Dear Rishi.
I have copied all profiles to my local pc and thoroughly checked and the value is 0 and the parameter is only once. There is other parameter : login/system_client = 001 which is to display default client no in the client menu where we spcify during login to Gui.
What might be the possibility that this issue is not getting sorted out.
Thanks
Mohd.
Thanks Rishi.
The Issue resolved.
It was the parameter i have given wrong
login/no_automatic_user_sap*= 0 (Wrong).
login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 is the correct one as you mentioned.
Thanks For Your Support.
Really Thankful to all Basis Gurus who supported me specially Rishi and RB.

Hello
I believe this is an Oracle database.
If yes please provide me the output of these queries.
select OWNER from DBA_TABLES where TABLE_NAME='T000';
select BNAME, MANDT, UFLAG from SCHEMA.USR02 where BNAME='SAP*';
Replace SCHEMA with the output from the first query
Check the value of the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar in all the profiles in the profile directory. (START, DEFAULT, INSTANCE)

Hi,
Can you please explain more .
If you thing that its a license issue please install the permanent license again.
Has the hardware key changed or system no. If yes them apply for new license.
try to reset the password at database level and then login and apply license.
Step1 :
login as orasid and sqlplus "/as sysdba"
delete from <SAP SCHEMA>.usr02 where bname = 'SAP*' and mandt = '<client-number>';
example
delete from sapsr3.usr02 where bname ='SAP*' and mandt ='000';
Step 2 : stop the SAP & DB
Step 3 : set the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 in the default profile avalable in /sapmnt/<SID>/profile
Step 4 : start the DB & den SAP
Step 5 : login to the system using SAP* and password as pass ( all in lower case)
Thanks
Rishi Abrol
