Languages on Solution Manager - Product Instances

Hello,

I have a question.

I want to know what the available languages for SAP Solution Manager (7.1, SP08) are.

I know this can be found in the Product Availability Matrix on http://service.sap.com/pam.

But on this PAM, there are different "Product Instances", such as Solution Manager ABAP Stack, Plug Ins for Managed Systems, BI Content, Support user Frontend GUIs, etc.

What is the difference between all these instances? Because there are different languages available for each of them. For example, Thai is listed in "Support user Frontend GUIs", but not in "Solution Manager ABAP Stack".

Also, "Support user Frontend GUIs" mentions "scope" as NWBC NW Business Client x.x. Does this mean that you need to have NWBC installed for that, and this is not available on the classical SAP GUI?

Kind regards,

Joyca

Hi,

These all additional software you can install along with solution manager if you want, like if you dont hav SAP GUI front end , then look for the one.

But Languages are just always come along with your support packages, as mentioned in PAM , sap solution manager abap stack supports 19 languages, you can double check this by goto download center, there you can see the language DVDs look for more info page

it list all the 19 languages.

if you want to know what are the langugaes installed in your system, use the report RSCPINST and current NLS settings or with the tcode SMLT.

Please check

Thanks

Jansi

Hi Joyca,

Yes, you need to have NWBC to installed. Please go through this regarding SAP Front ends

http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BBA/Front-End+Client+Software,

Regarding languages supported by Solution Manager ABAP stack, as advised by Jansi check SMP for available languages.

Consider going through this http://scn.sap.com/people/wolf.hengevoss/blog/2011/06/21/products-product-systems-product-instances-...

Again, it all depends on your need to go for additional instance.
