MDS config in SMP2.3#2 and PAP issue

Hi,

For push configuration in SMP2.3#2, i have configured the MDS service in scc. When I configure it, pop-up throws the error message "A valid server url should end with /pap".

In SUP 2.1.3 "pap" is optional one, it seems its mandatory in SMP2.3. Not sure how to enable this 'pap' in MDS service. I have attached an image for your reference.

please share if you have any idea.

Hi Yokesvaran,

As per my understanding in 2.3, the URL format is

Address in the form

http://<DNS or IP address>:<portNumber>/pap to push

No other enablement in SMP is required.

Hi Jitendra/Akila,

PAP is push access protocol which is optional in SUP2.1.3 configuration.

say my url is http://xyz.com:8080/ and if i wish i can use PAP.

This was working with SUP2.1.3, now i have upgraded my server to SMP2.3. Here adding '/pap' at the end of url is mandatory.

http://xyz.com:8080/pap

not sure where to configure this PAP, by simply adding at the end of URL is not working.

The service property which deals with PAP configuration  is Storing push requests in the BlackBerry configuration database.
