Change of customer during order entry/ problem with authority check

Hello,

we have a strange problem regarding the authority check during order entry.

Process:

- a collegue opens VA01 and creates a sales order. Before saving it, he switches to the customer masterdata via header menue Environment-->Partner-->Display Sold-to-party. Now he is in VD03. When he now tries to switch to change mode, a error message appears:

With SU53 I see, that SAP is checking without Division, Sales Org. and Distr. Channel, although the collegue was already in the sales data area before:

Once you have access for all sales organisations, there is no problem, but our collegues in the sales dep. only have access for specific sales orgs.

Is that a bug or normal? With our old EHP4 we didn't had this problem. It seems to be new with EHP6.

Has someone an idea how to deal with that`?

Hi

This is normal and standard behaviour. The user is creating a sale order with some specific sales area. When he clicks on partner button system will take him in VD03 for that specific sales area. Now when he tries to change it system is giving you error message with sales area too. Check that sales area (Sales Organization, Distribution Channel, Division) in that object. Only sales organization won't work because this authorization object is for complete sales area.

Of course the creator of the order inserts sales org, distr. channel and division in that order.

When he goes into customer masterdata (display mode), the system takes the sales area of the order.

But when he changes into "change" mode, SAP checks without sales area...

I beilive that customer is maintained for other Sales Org, and the user does not have authorization for all those sales organizations.

Does system checks for authorization if user opens the same customer directly from VD02?

Check two things.

Try to change that customer directly from VD02 or XD02.

Paste the SU53 after authority check error.
