MRP area Mandatory for XO mrp type

Hi Friends,

I have one query is MRP area becomes mandatory to maintain in material master in ECC if this material has XO MRP Type.

Hi Umang,

No, it is not mandatory to set MRP areas for MRP type X0 in ECC material master. Generally we use MRP type X0 when we have APO system integrated with ECC system.

HI Surabh,

Thanks for ur reply.

We run PP/DS run in APO everyday as batch job. Fro one material STOs are not generating in APO.

We found out that MRP areas were not maintained in Material master in ECC. Once that is maintained STos generated. Can you shed more light on this?

Are you referring to MRP areas or MRP group maintenance in material master?

There is no need to MRP area  as already answered sourabh.

how you reach creating MRP area? any error said create MRP area?

your are expecting STO from where to where?  one plant to other?   if yes, is material maintained in both plant, transportation lane created?

system, will not suggest to create MRP area on its own.. its business decision.
