Mandatory Header Text

Dear Friends,

I have a requirement wherein we need to make a "Header Text" Mandatory whenever an "Order reason" in the sales order is selected. Means whenever a Quotation/Sales order is dropped we have to select an "Order reason" why we have lost the business. Customer requires details of order loss, to be maintained in the Header Text and which should be mandatory whenever we select an "order reason" so that customer is forced to fill the remarks.

Can it be achieved through Incompletion procedure. If yes what steps need to be followed or please suggest any alternative.

Hi Dayanand,

As siva pointed  there is no link between these two, incomplete procedure tells you to fill all the mandatory fields required for processing a document & text data should be maintained manually.

Dear Dayananda,

You can maintain the text as mandatory. Enter VOTXN then click Sales doucment header - Change.

There itself you select your Text Procedure and select "Text ID's in Text Procedure" in the dialog structure and maintain your text IDs and mandatory in 5th column as "Text is Obligatory". then assign your text procedure to the relevant sales document type in "Text Procedure Assignment".

Hi,

There is no Link Between Order Reason and Header Texts

If you can Identify for which Document types you will be Updating Order Reason for those Document types you can make Header Text as Mandatory.

Hi Siva,

We can't make as per Document type, because Only one document type "ZOR" is used for creating and dropping sales order. The requirement is for the same document type, whenever an order reason is selected then only it should make Header text Mandatory.
