Hi Experts,
could some one explain me what does the Service Parameter means when
~WEBGUI is set to 1 in the GUI configuration in SICF Tcode?.
If i am using ~WEBGUI 1,
Those Screen Elements which are not supported in ITS mobile for example
Table Control
ALV Grid
are also able to Display just like normal execution in SAP with a Tcode in URL.
Please explain me why?
Thanks in Advance
Pallavi
Hi Pallavi,
Setting ~webgui 1 means that you are using the ITS Service "webgui" to render the screens of the transaction that you are calling.
The WEBGUI is an emulation service that replicates the SAPGUi as much as possible. There are some limitations.
It is not recommended to call the WEBGUI via a Mobile Device like a handheld scanner - the recommendation is to create an ITSMobile service with it's own custom templates generated using ITSMobile Styles that will call the required transaction.
That is why the parameter ~itsmobile 1 is set rather than ~webgui 1 in the GUI Configuration section of the service via transaction SICF.

Oisin
