Issue with CMS Assembly

Hi,

We have imported our DC's into consolidation system through change managment service.

After importing to the consilidation system, in the Assembly details we saw the DC's which are 2 years old.

We don't want to import those old DC's to the Production system.

Can we import required DC's through SDM in the production system.

How to create the new Assembly so that we will be transporting all the DC's only through CMS  from now onwards.

Thanks and Regards,

Lalitha.

Dear Lalitha,

I afraid there is no way to assmeble/delete only certain parts of the software to be assembled.

Assembly is always creates the software out of the cons/active workspace, so once you trigger assembly it is generating the SCA out of all the resources available cons/active.

What you can do is that you create a new activity in which you delete this DC, or do the corresponding modifications related to this DC and you transport it through the development cycle (i.e. checkin, activate, release, import to cons, and assemble).

Best Regards,

Ervin

Dear Ervin,

Thanks for the Response.

Can we deploy the DC's through SDM in our production system.

Can we create the new Assembly so that it will have only the upcoming DC's.

Regards,

Lalitha.

yes, you can.

each assembly will contain all the DC, unless you create a  activity to delete the unwanted dc.
