BPC10 NW - EPM Add In - SSO

Former Member

Hi All,

We are trying to Integrate EPM Addin SSO from SAP NW 7.01 SP10.

Reference Document Used : http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-20003

The war file link from above doc ( page 7 )  - PCNW10_SS_WP.war file is NOT getting any WAR files to use in NWDS.

When I click the file,  It only downloads17 KB file size and does not have any *.war file type.

Could anyone tell how to get the war file for the configuration startup ? Thanks All.

Note : We do not have any NW 7.3 portal to try out...so as a trial end proceeding with NW 7.01 SP10.

Regards,

Sridhar Krishnan

Hi Sridhar,

My advice on this issue:

- In the requirements it states:

Apache HTTPComponents > HttpClient 4.1.2
o Can be downloaded from: http://hc.apache.org/downloads.cgi
o Required for proper cookie support (needed to generate reentrance tickets)

- if you browse to http://hc.apache.org/downloads.cgi
you see that the current version is "HttpClient 4.3.1 (GA)" and the file it would download is httpcomponents-client-4.3.1-bin.zip

- if you really want to use 4.1.2. (and not 4.3.1) you can check the archive http://archive.apache.org/dist/httpcomponents/httpclien
t/binary/

- normally, functionality provided in 4.1.X would still exist in 4.3.X

Thanks

Marc

Hi Marc,

Thank you for your reply. All your steps are to download HTTPclient files but not the war files download.

I have attached the screen from the EPM SSO - Document - Page 7 where it exactly war files located.

I am looking for to download war files only as in the screen below.

Hi Sridhar,

Sorry - my mistake,

Ok, I checked the link - it works fine for me.

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/302e6b98-4902-2f10-06b1-bb3656021c45

Click on it, and use 'save'

- make sure to save the file with name:

Implementing SSO between the Enterprise Portal and the EPM Add-In.war

The file is indeed 17,026 bytes only and should work in the next steps

Perhaps you downloaded it with an incorrect extension?

Hi Marc,

What if we don't have enterprise portal and we want to implement SSO on our EPM add-in? Do you have any documentations on how to do it step by step?
Thank you.

We have used this solution for years and it worked with only IE. But now IE11 is retiring and this solution not working in any other browser. How can we make this solution work in Chrome, Fire Fox or Edge browser ?

Hello All,

I am also referring the same document. I followed all the steps, but for my requirement I want only one click and then it should launch the EPM Add In, but as in document, I am doing all steps from default link. It is increasing the clicks. Can you please suggest how to achieve this?

Many thanks in advance,
