Customer's in CVC's

dear experts

it is understood for forecasting to be planned at the geography , product and sales level.

but i can see some clients with customers also as part of cvc. this looks somewhat out of the context.

can anyone please share their thoughts on this ?

Hi KK,

Yes companies use customer as part of the CVCs as and when required, normally done for set of priority customers, and this is done using descriptive characteristics, which helps in releasing forecast at customer level along with standard product and location level.

Depending on different business requirement, forecasting may need to be executed at customer level. For example, some client may need to release forecast with discriptive characteristics, and use consumption group.
