Multiple ECC (Proxy) to One PI system

Hello,

Can we able to connect multiple ECC systems to one PI system (for Proxy/ inbound/outbound)?

As of one we have PI-DEV, PI-Q, PI-Production were connected to  ECC - DEV, ECC-Q, ECC-Produciton systems simultaniously.

Now we need to connect ECC-DEV and ECC-Test systems to be conncted to PI-DEV system. How to do this?

Hi,

You can connect multiple ECC systems to PI. Forum members have already guided you on this.

For ECC outbound, it should not be a problem sending data to third parties.

However, you would require additional configuration for ECC inbound scenario.

For example, for an interface triggered from a third party to PI, PI would need to decide for which client (development or test) the data should go to.

So you need conditional receiver determination to make this decision so this means additonal config which is an overhead and should not be transported.

Hope it helps!

Hi Khaja,

Yes you can connect, but you should make separate configurations for each client in ESR and ID.

Hi Khaja,

Yes you can connect multiple ECC systems to one PI system.  You have to do the below Configurations in ECC for proxy.

1. Create RFC Destinations LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI of type in ECC Dev & Test systems.  You can find these RFC Destinations in PI Dev systems and provide same parameters in ECC also.

2. Create RFC Destination type H in ECC Dev & Test systems.

3. Configure Integration Engine ->Sxmb_ADM tcode

4. do SLDAPICUST in both ECC Dev & TEst systems

5. perforcm SLD Check after doing the above steps.

In PI you have to create two Technical & Business Systems for ECC Dev & Test systems.

Thanks,

Satish.

Hi,

Each ECC system will be represented as different Business system and technical system in PI. you can have multiple ECC for server proxy but you need to define multiple configuration in PI.

similarly for client proxy you need the connection to multiple ECC system with respective Business system to send data.

So it is possible.
