Can we change name of Connection.DB of "Connection.DB.User.Table" format in IDT (BO 4.0 ) ?

Hi Experts,

You know that, the all tables' names in the MultiSource Universes are formed in "CONNECTION.DB.USER.TABLE" format in IDT of BO 4.0 .

My question is that can we change name of "connection.db" that is part of "connection.db.user.table" format? Is it possible?

If we can do, can you tell us how can we change name of "connection.db" in multiple source universes?

Hi,

We have a multiuniverse in BO 4.0 SP 5.When we copy a universe, we want to direct this copied universe to new Database with its connection. (  Connection's name will be same but directed Database will change )

We made e test and its results is that when we copy a universe and if we direct it to new DB in predefined connection, original universe is also changing and it is becoming same with copied universe.We don't want to change original universe.We only want to change copied universe.So we do not have to create a universe with creating old tables again.

For example BO 3.x is better than BO 4.0 about changing name of the old DB to the new DB of an  universe.We can do these transations easily in BO 3.x.

How can we do in BO 4.0?Do you have an idea?
