Not able to add SAP AS Java on NWDS 7.3

Hi All,

I have EP server 7.4 and my NWDS 7.3 SP07 PAT0010.

I am trying to add server here: Windows -> Preferences -> SAP AS Java

I am entering the host instance name and instance number (Instance Number: 00)  and click on Add button and, when I click on OK button nothing happens... If I enter a wrong instance number the NWDS shows me an error message. Otherwise, if everything is correct, it just closes the popup window and returns to the SAP AS Java initial screen with no system on it.

Please suggest do I need to upgrade my NWDS or is there any other way to add server.

I appreciate any help.

Hi Tirthraj,

I think I have a workaround for you.

try to add your AS JAVA via the SAP mmc console plugin of nwds. If you do so and then you go back to the preferences the system will show up there too.

Hi Tirhraj,

Update to the newest version "Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 SP06 PAT0005" and try again. It's worth a try... a lot of bugs have been fixed.
