I am a beginner in XI. I am trying to do a scenario IDOC to file.
I don't get an idea on the following RFC connection types.
1. What is R/3 connection type and when we use it?
2. What is Logical destination type and when do we use it?
3. What is TCP/IP connection type and where we use it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sailaja
Hi,
1. What is R/3 connection type and when we use it?
select this type R3 connections only for SAP R3
2. What is Logical destination type and when do we use it?
Logical systems are used when we are doing IDoc scenarios
3. What is TCP/IP connection type and where we use it?
For example RFC connection sender side we would have to create this type ,
and also any third party servers, we would have to take it condierations.
Type T destinations are connections to external programs that use the RFC library to receive RFCs. The activation type can be either Start or Registration.
If it is Start, you need to specify the host name and the path name of the program that you want to start.
