Hi,
it is possible in SDM (and CMS) to set system specific variables that can be used by applications.
I have found a thread () gives some information on how to use the substitution variables. Is there an official documentation for developpers on how to use substitution variables ?
Also, we have been using environment variables (entries) in our ejb's to pass variables to our applications. I think we must change this now because the deployment is automated with the CMS so the default values we set will be deployed all the time.
Are there any other standard ways to pass values to application (loaded on startup). I know we could use tables but is there a best practice ? What does SAP recommend ?
Thanks.
Hi Thierry,
Did you get an answer for this? i am also having the exact same question. i looked into substitution variables in SDM, but havn't totally solved the problem.
please let me know
thanks
