Query on drivers

Our customer is planning to connect our PI 7.3 to external Oracl/SQL Server database using JDBC adapter.

Oracle:

1) From the oracle site, i found that ojdbc6.jar supports Oracle 12c,11gR2, 11gR1 however doesn't support Oracle 10G. Do you concur

2) We use sapjvm 6. Does this mean we need to use a compatible driver for our sapjvm version or the underlying java version at the OS. Java version at OS is 1.5.

SQL Server

1) JDBC driver 3.0 and 4.0 seems to support Sql Server 2005,2008,2008 R2 and 2012. Is going for the latest JDBC driver a better option here.

Finally, does deploying new oracle/sql server driver overwrite an existing driver

Thanks in advance

Kalyan
