How to Make Context Default

Hi All,

I am working with Universe Designer ,

While Joining Table's and to avoid the Join path issues we have developed few contexts

Now My question is when we run the query in WebI Rich client, How can I control the Query on prompting me in selecting the context,,

Hi Tim,

As per as I am aware there is no option to make any context default however, if you have a canned report there is a option to make sure report uses last selected context, to aviod select context window to be popped up every time when report is refreshed.

You need to consider why you are being prompted for contexts, especially if your query contains at least one measure.

Do you have any measures in your query?

So it shouldn't be asking for a context.

Have a read up on contexts and how they work so that you understand them.

If you have set your cardinalities correctly, delete your existing contexts and click on the detect contexts button (DO NOT click on the detect cardinalities button to detect them).
