dear experts

we have apo implemented for a long time now and facing performance issues.

we were told by our basis team to look into /sapapo/lislog table as it had more than 1 million records

deleting the entries is not a problem .

what are these entries and why they have got created and how would it affect if i delete them is my main concern.

your valuable inputs will be appreciated.

Hi K K,

Check SAP note 512184 - Background processing: Periodically delete job log

“If you work with background jobs in Demand Planning and use the log

function (set Generate log indicator in the planning job), it is necessary

to delete the job log periodically. If you do not do this, performance will

deteriorate noticeably.”

---------------------

Background jobs in demand planning create a log entry to the LISLOG table if you have set the log function active in the background job. If you delete the entries it only means that you cannot analyze the effects of that particular background job for e.g. did the macro calculation complete itself to a certain CVC (characteristic value combination) or what were the results of a  forecast profile.

Juha
