IDOC to File scenario

Hello friends,

I am working on IDOC to file scenario.

How can i see the field size in IDOC?

I guess IDOC is attached to some internal table in SAP , which transaction helps me in finding the size of fields in IDOC and that tables associated with the IDOC.

idoc types are associated with segments and it is in the segments u can find the occurences i.e. the size. u can luk into the tcode: we30 or we31 and enter the idoc type. double click on the segments and there u can find the limits,.

I succeeded in finding the field length for my fields.

How could i find out which IDOC is linked to which internal table?</b>

u define an internal table WRT to the segments. so idoc segments are related as per the definition.

WE60 is the document for IDoc. we60 give idoc type

and select each segment , so that you can check the fields..
