Create Slave not available in MDM Console

Hello,

i'm not able to create a slave repository because "create slave.." is not available in mdm console. We use MDM 7.1 SP9 on Linux. There is only one non-fatal error.

$$$ Non-fatal error(1413): Named Searches records have NULL or duplicated values in the 'Code' field. This could cause problems during schema migration.

But there is no way to repair it.

Hi Patrick,

As Raja correctly pointed out,try to look for fixing code for named Searches.

This may have happened because of Named Search going corrupt because of some change in data model or some change which made it redundant.

Hello patrick,

It sounds strange, Even I tried with many possibilities(On Named Search) the Slave concept working fine, could you please check the authorizations given for the user .

Also to add on to the Raja reply, I dont think Data Manager will allow you to save the Named searches If it has similer code or even the Code is blank.

therefore Just give a try delete the Named search and try to create Slave.(Actually its not recommended)

Hi Patrick,

This really does not sound good. If you are connected to a repository then you must be able to see the create slave option. Ensure that you are using the Admin Id for this purpose. Authorisations can be controlled at this level. You need to connect to the repository with an Admin ID, then you must definately see the create slave option enabled.

If you still cannot see this, then raise an OSS message to SAP immediately. Also let us know what was the issue.

Hi Patrick,

To fix this non fatal error, open the Named Searches table in Data Manager and check whether all the records have unique value in the "Code" field, if not, provide a unique value and make sure that it is not having a Null value.

You mean to say that the "Create Salve" options is disabled or not at all visible in console?
