NWDS 7.31 with XI 7.0

Is it possible to use/develop for SAP XI 7.0 with NWDS 7.31.

I mean - can I add JAVA AS of such old XI and deploy EAR modules for adapter with new NWDS or should I download old NWDS?

Is there any problem with new NWDS vs old XI/PI system?

Also - is NWDS 7.4 worth upgrading from 7.31?

When you want to deploy to PI 7.0 direct from your NWDS, it is necessary to install NWDS 7.1

The deploy mechanism in PI 7.0 and PI 7.1 are different and PI 7.0 is not supported with NWDS 7.1

It is no problem to run both NWDS versions the same time. You just need tinstall Java 1.4 for PI 7.0 development.

I do not know 7.4, so I cannot ell you if it is worth upgrading.

I`m little bit confused from your answer.

You said, that if I want to deploy to PI 7.0 I have to install NWDS 7.1, but right after that you wrote that PI 7.0 is not supported with NWDS 7.1

So will installing NWDS 7.1 help me with deploying to XI 7.0 right from NWDS or it doesnt?

Sorry, that was a typo: For PI 7.0 you need NWDS 7.0.

HI Stefan,

Currently i am using PI 7.3 sp 05 (Dual stack) and working on Java Proxy interface on NWDS 7.01.

Will PI 7.3 supports NWDS 7.01? Please suggest me.
