Dear Experts,

During Testing , We had some  issues in moving files from SAP Application Server to another non SAP Server, while moving the files through our customized Program where standard RFC called,  we are getting error ( RFC to Program SAPFTP failed) .  While executing the related RFC manually(Connection Test) in client 900 (Quality Server) , I am getting below Error.

Description: Description: cid:image011.png@01CEC99A.3702CCC0

While performing connection test i'm getting below error

Description: Description: cid:image013.png@01CEC99A.3702CCC0

Kindly suggest me how to solve this issue.

Thanks,

SURYA

Hi all,

Thanks for all your replies I changed the activation type from "Start on application server" to "Start on Explicit host" and now it's working fine.. But can any explain the difference between those two activation types.

Thanks

Hi Surya,

The uploaded image could not be seen. Could you upload it once again.

Secondly as a quick test check the RFC Destination SAPFTP and SAPFTPA in SM59 .

Check the error message with RFC test connection ( if any ).

Hi Surya,

Please check for the entry in services file for value

sapgw00      3300/tcp

# SAP System Gateway Port

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services.

Also, please check this sap KBA 1891781  - error occurs when you execute an external command

Hi Surya,

Could you run the report RSFTP005 to check and regenerate the FTP rfc destinations.
