Dear Expert,
I am working on JDBC to PROXY (PI 7.0) Scenario and completed IR and ID Part. The Sender Jdbc is working fine.Configured
receiver XI adapter (here i put the target ecc details).
Now i have a confusion regarding I/b Proxy settings in Ecc as the basis guy is unable to help me.Searched SCN but confused
I have created RFC dest of Type H in Ecc pointing PI details (Pi Host and Pi Http Port, Pi Login id and Password) . But while testing
the connection , getting error ICM_CONNECTION_FAILED.
Please give me the complete steps in PI and Ecc.
Do i have to create any Rfc Dest in Pi?
Regards,
Anirban

Hi,
>>>>JDBC to PROXY (PI 7.0)
in this case the RFC dest needs to be created in PI (to ECC)
for enabling proxy communication with ECC please have a look at many blogs on SDN - there show is step by step,

Hello Amit,
I am referring one of you reply.......
<Hi,
Create a type H destination in PI,
mention the target host,
path prefix (/sap/xi/engine/?type=receiver),
service no (generally it's 8000 -> u can cross check the same ECC -> go to smicm-> Goto-> services),
under logon security give service username/pass
you can also check whether ur "engine" service is activated or not, go to SICF-> execute -> default host -> sap -> xi -> (activate) engine service
Thanks

I have a few doubts , Under path i Have given /sap/xi/engine/?type=entry but getting error 'query string not allowed'.
Under path prefix ..engine/?type=receiver or entry ?
Under logon do i have to give target ecc UserId and PW ?
Hello,
>> Under path i Have given /sap/xi/engine/?type=entry but getting error 'query string not allowed'.
Just hit enter and proceed.
Ur Path prefix will be: /sap/XI/engine/? type=receiver
>>Under logon do i have to give target ecc UserId and PW ?
Yes, enter ECC client, user and password
Thanks
