I was wondering if any could answer some questions I have around escalations:
1)
W Why are there two places to set Escalation Type within a stage? Do both need to be set? Does one over ride the other?
3 I also noticed that Modify Task Setting doesn’t contain ‘Use Default’ why?
a. Select Stage > Modify > Show Details
b. Select Stage > Modify Task Settings
4) When using ‘Use Default’ where is that routing to? Alternate Approver?
5) Does a job need to be executed to kick off the escalations similar to reminders?
Any guidance would be appreciated,
Kyle
4) When using ‘Use Default’ where is that routing to? Alternate Approver?
Only if one is configured within the "Modify Task Settings" section.

the point over here is.
a. Select Stage > Modify > Show Details
Stage details can be configured globally for the specific process ID and can be
overwritten at a specific path/stage sequence
where as
b. Select Stage > Modify Task Settings
Modify Task Settings. These settings will apply to the stage anytime
this is used in a particular path.
Does a job need to be executed to kick off the escalations similar to reminders?
Yes , it requires configuration.
The alternate approver is selected if the workflow is not acted upon within the time period defined in the SLA
