Hi
In SAP TM planning profile, there is an option of offset ( used in planning horizon ). Let's say I have an offset of 7 days and my planning horizon is for 21 days. Does this mean planning should run every 7 days (from today) for the next 21 days? And by planning, does it mean the optimizer is going to run and plan the FU every 7 days?
I will appreciate if someone can answer this.
Thank You
Pankaj Diwan
Hi Pankaj,
No it doesnt mean that
if Offset is 7 days and horizon is 21 days
planning horizon today (09-11-2013 ) for planning would be considered
starting from 16-11-2013 (09 nov + 7 (offset)) to 07-12-2013 (16 nov + 21 days (horizon))
planning will run for this period from 16 nov to 7th dec if i run it today

Hello Pankaj,
Are you looking to have planning run every day for 7 days (or some other interval)?
If so i would recomend looking at Background Planning Run job. The reports name is /SCMTMS/PLN_OPT
If your looking to plan a period 21 days worth of FUs starting 7 days from (or before) the current date then Marcelo's first link should get you started.
