Hello SriMant,

Transferring commodity code back to ERP is done because there may be requirements to print these codes on shipping documents, custom reports or similar processes.

As for the other questions, I would suggest you use Google. I believe you will find more in depth information regarding your other inquires than can be commented on in the discussion thread.
