Dear All,
We want to create the academic objects like modules, Module Groups, event types, programs, etc in mass I want to know what is the best of creating these objects in mass and link each other as part of academic structure creation.
can we transport these objects from one client to other or we have to create at client level? any thoughts are welcome and useful for us.
Regards,
Ravi

Hi Ravi,
do you already know the Student Lifecycle Management Data Transfer Guide <http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-19631>? It contains plenty of information and hints how data (including academic structure) can be created by batch input, function modules a.s.o.
To your question about creating academic structure in separate client for transfer into the productive client. In principle this is possible using the RHMOVE* reports (transport system or data file).
You have to be very careful in setting up external and internal number ranges in source and target clients and in configuring evaluation paths for gathering objects to transfer.
And if you have other data transfer mechanisms running (like some regular ALE-transfer of data from HCM or Org Management) you have to test carefully whether these mechanisms are conflicting.
Regards,
Dirk.
