Check list required to connect SAP ECC and PI systems.

Dear Experts,

         What are things we have to do to make connections betwen SAP ECC and SAP PI 7.1 ( newly using ). Please provide the list of activities as I have to do from BASIS end also. most probably we need to implement Proxy scenarios.

As far as my knowledge,  ECC side 3 type connection,

                                         in Pi system 3 type connection, H type connection needs to be created.  

what more else required to ECC to PI.
