JMS Duplicate Message SAP PI

Hi,

Im getting  this error:  A duplicate JMS message was received. It was was received earlier and processed with XI message ID 11b01762-4722-4847-0d15-e83197359d6d. It will be ignored and discarded from the JMS queue.

Since I dont have access to the database, I cant delete the entrie from the table, so we usually wait until the message is discarded, or by discarding all messages from mq and deleting the duplicate one.

Is there a way to prevent this error happening in the future in PI?

Is there other root causes for this to happen beside a duplicate message id?

Hi Luis,

There is a setting for Time period for Duplicate check in Sender JMS adapter.

Apart from this, there should be some housekeeping job at JMS end to remove the messages after a certain period of time.
