synchronize checkbox in control conversion dialog (SAP screen personas)

Does anyone know what the function is of the synchronize checkbox in the control conversion dialog?

We were testing out this function when converting a existing dropwdown into a dropdown list. We were expecting that the dropdownlist would sync with the original dropdown thus showing the same values. This however does not to be the case.

We had a look in the documentation, but we couldn't find any info about this checkbox and why it is used for.

That synchronize setting tells personas to transmit changes to the underlying SAPgui field as soon as a value is selected in the Personas field. This is important if other aspects of the screen change based on the selected value.

It doesn't synchronize the possible values, as you are expecting. I'm not aware of a way to do that - the possible values in a Personas dropdown list are static. There's no way to generate them programmatically.
