IDOC Packaging!

Hi,

We are using PI 7.1.1 which supports idoc packaging.

We would like to collect DESADV idocs for multiple partners and push it through XI.

I have a common sender idoc channel to collect any idocs arising from any partner for DESADV.

For eg., If i have configured packet size as 3 for each partner and the idoc sender adapter as 10.

Partner A - 3 idocs

Partner B - 3 idocs

Partner c - 4 idocs

Will i be receiving as 4 messages in PI due to the packet size setting in R/3 or as one package to PI since the packet size setting in PI is 10.

Also want to add that the packet size setting in PI is 10 should come into the picture for other IDocs (non-DESADV) types.

If you trigger 10 IDocs like below:

Partner A - 3 idocs

Partner B - 3 idocs

Partner c - 4 idocs

IMO, ECC will wait for the next 2 IDocs for Partner C before sending the next bunch.

So PI should receive 3 messages (3 IDocs each).

I suggest you run a test and let us know the results.

Hi Sam

Yes PI will receive 4 idocs .  One for partner A, one for partner B and two idocs for partner C.
